It was only an act of God that I completed the drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco on such little sleep that I was falling asleep at the wheel every 5 minutes. I seriously don’t know how I made it back to San Fran alive. Also, thank goodness my flight was cancelled, because I don’t think I would have made it to the airport on time anyway.

Some girl at work…she was telling me that i’m such a pessimist……so i was trying to tell her that i’m not a pessimist at all, i’m just a REALIST. i dont think she was understanding anything…..i was telling her that telling someone that they are a pessimist is like telling someone that they have a low self-esteem……think about that word “SELF-esteem”…..it’s how you feel about YOURSELF. nobody can possibly know whether you have a low or high self esteem…..(they could INFER based on your actions, but nobody could EVER know how you feel about yourself) …..some people might THINK that I have a low self-esteem, because I make fun of myself all the time, degrade myself, and laugh at myself…..however, on the contrary, a friend of mine said that I have a very high self-esteem because I so easily make fun of myself and belittle myself that i must have a high self esteem….I tend to agree with that…..anyway, the point is this…..maybe upon meeting me, she might THINK that I’m a pessimist…in fact, quite possibly I might be transmitting a pessimistic vibe or something, however, I know myself very very well, and i know that i’m not a pessimist……..I’m REALIST. life sucks you fucking bitch. die. see, i’m not a pessimist but in all seriousness, I dont think i’m a pessimist at all…….I just think that my wonderful coworker is a little too quick to judge someone else……that’s why i hate people nowadays…..some people just PISS me off…..people lately that just PISS ME OFF:

Matt Nathanson brought down the FUCKING HOUSE in NYC on Monday. The concert was abso-fucking-lutely amazing. Every time i see Matt he just gets better and better. I simply don’t understand it. I think he’s MUCH better in larger venues because he can kind of go nuts and shit ….it’s hard to “go nuts” when you’re playing for 30-50 people…..but I think playing for 200+ people matt can really work it with the crowd and shit………Let’s not forget Matt Fish…..Matt N. always jokes around and says that people are like “is matt fish here tonight?”…but it’s so fucking true….as much as i totally LOVE matt so fucking much, i think he’s 10,000 times better when he’s playing with fish….those 2 have amazing chemistry and are fucking UNBELIEVABLE together……….and I think it is the COOLEST fucking thing that Matt still offered to hang out afterwards and talk/sign shit for the fans……how many fucking musicians do that?????

So, I SPOKE TO MATT THE OTHER DAY!! He is so fucking great. I fucking love him. Every time i see him live, he gets fucking better and better…….It was SOOOOOO fucking amazing. I havn’t seen him live since October 14th I think, his CD realease party in NYC….
spoke for like 5 minutes after the Rhode Island show on friday night……. i’ve spoken to him before but this time i actually had a camera to take a picture with him…….said something to him like… “you’re like my favorite famous person ever….i dont even know what to say to you…….you’re the greatest” he was like “oh, you’re rad…” so i asked him how his vacation was and he told me that he got DIRECT-TV recently and basically spent a large majority of his vacation doing absolutely nothing except watching tv and playing with the remote on the couch…..and i asked him about his cat, rufus, and about one of his songs that wasn’t on the record called “i’ll be” and he said that he never finished the lyrics to where he wanted it on the record, and that he’ll probably put it on the next record………and he told me stuff about his cat, like that the cat loves water, (which i knew cuz i’m obsessed with matt) but he said other stuff about the cat that i had no idea cuz i was so mesmerized by him…….and i told him that i wanted him to play Loud and he promised he’d play it for me next time…..oh yeah, forgot to say, going to BOSTON to see matt on the 7th, and 8th in Northern Mass….and going to see Matt in NEW YORK CITY, Feb 2, (that’s tomorrow!!! Yes!!!) ……and…..hmmmm….going to see him at Roosevelt Field Shopping center, (which is like 15 minutes from my house, how fucking great is that????) so in the month of February i will see him FIVE fucking times.
but anyway….the show was so fucking great, it was SOOOO worth it to drive almost FOUR hours in Friday’s traffic to Rhode island….and 4 hours back to NYC to drop off my friend back in the city, and then back to my house and then BACK to work the next day after getting like 4 hours of sleep…..(got home at like 4:15 am, went to bed a little after 5, got up at 9 to go to work…….not to mention that I only had about 3 hours of sleep on Thursday night, so I had to drive to rhode island on 3 hours of sleep…which was like the WORST feeling ever, but for matt…..oooooh, for you matt, i would do anything.
